Family Engagement Challenge Update

On the Family Engagement Challenge, 93% of families who entered won. This gives an adult from the family free entrance to all home games and they can bring a Plus One to the game for free, as well. To win the Family Engagement Challenge, a parent needed to:

      * Meet with Principal Schaefer in August-September,

      * Set goals for scholar learning,

      * Provide evidence that they can access Aspire grades,

AND their scholar needed to:

      * Earn As, Bs, and Cs in 1st quarter, AND

      * Miss 3 or fewer days of school in 1st quarter!

Congratulations to the families who won this SY26 Engagement Challenge!

Raiders Hosted 41 Home Events in 1st Semester

The Winter Concert featured 136 scholar musicians throughout the evening. Check out the recording and then, visit with an 8th grader to figure out how the crackling fire effect at the end of "Hearth" was created. At the 1:03:00 timestamp, an 85-piece band performs an impressive rendition of "Festive Finale"!

Academic Field Trips and Away Athletic Games totalled 70 in 1st semester!

Faculty arranged over 15 guest presenters in our classrooms. Some of these presenters included Utah State University, Navajo Math Circles, the University of Utah, WHS Alumni, UNHS, Neilson Construction, Utah Highway Patrol, Family Dollar, Elk Petroleum, and SJSD Transportation.

Winter Formal

The Senior Class of 2026 hosted the Winter Formal on Saturday, December 13. Scholars dressed up to look great and had a really fun time dancing, visiting, and snacking! A big thanks to the parents and school staff who made this event possible! (photos by Soshina Harvey)
